Travelling through the northern French country side on ANZAC Day, I catch myself reflecting about the past.
As we travel through this area on this day. It almost feels haunting to think how different this area was 100 years ago.
I feel overwhelmed with sorrow, but gratefulness for the sacraficies made by those brave men and women.
And how different the world would be if they hadn’t of taken on the German threat in World War I and II.
I possibly wouldn’t have been born. But I certainly wouldn’t have the freedoms I enjoy today.
So on this day, and in these fields.
Lest we forget.
